Steve Randall's Transitions was not only the largest collection of his work to be shown in one space, it was also the largest solo ever to be held at The Royal Liver Building. Over 8,000 people visited the show and some people returned several times to see Steve painting live.
Steve's art was accompanied by a soundtrack written by musician Kenny MacLennan, aka WESTHEART. and a film of Steve's work produced by DP Digital Media.

WESTHEART is inspired by the environment around his studio in the highlands of Scotlland. His perfect blend of ambient melodies brings another layer to Steve's imagery.
Although the soundtrack played throughout the event, visitors were encouraged to bring headphones with them so they could scan the QR codes for a more personal experience,

This eclectic exhibition amplifies the narrative of Steve’s initial naive and impressionistic illustrations, as he revisits life’s challenges.
Steve has adopted a new approach to explore his feelings at specific moments, whilst allowing others space to attach their own meaning to the images.
