When Laura met mosaic creative TitsUpArtistLiverpoool in January 2023, she asked if the artist had ever considered tiling anything three dimensional. Laura wanted to create something interactive to support Pride and came up with the idea of a bath that everyone could take a dip in. The installation was deigned to highlight the importance of Pride in the city but also to raise awareness and funds for the charity Sahir.
The Dip Into Pride Bath is currently on display run the front window of The Museum Of Liverpool

Natasha Ellis, aka TitsUpArtist is fiercely proud of her Liverpool roots and works hard to keep her creative practice relevant to her local environment. Although Natasha always liked being creative, her formal education isn’t actually in the arts and she in fact has a degree in Criminology and Sociology and a Masters in International Slavery Studies. That might seem a little left field considering Natasha's creative practice but many of her works have a sociological element and are often informed by her active role in the LGBTQ+ community. Natasha first started making mosaics under the name "titsUpArtistliverpool" in 2020 during the pandemic. Natasha found creating art had a positive impact on her mental health and she is now an advocate for helping others to express themselves in similar ways.
The photo above was taken at the worlds largest LUSH, where is spent several months on display in 2023.

The Royal Liver Building is perhaps the most iconic and recognisable building in Liverpool. Built in 1911 its silhouette and pair of Liver Birds have come to represent the city around the globe.
We are incredibly proud to have the DIP Bath on display in the riverside reception in the lead up to Pride 2024.
The Bath is free to view and accessible Mon-Friday 9am - 5pm.

Sahir is a long established Liverpool based charity that was initially established to assist those affected by HIV. It now works with the entire LGBTQIA+ community across the Liverpool City Region and the eventual sale of the DIP Bath will see all proceeds go directly to the charity to help with vital ongoing work. From February 4th until the 22nd of April The Dip Into Pride Bath took pride of place in the main entrance window of the amazing The Museum of Liverpool. The museum is home to an eclectic range of displays that document the heritage and culture of the region. Having the DIP bath on display there was an honour and we are hugely grateful to all the staff and particularly Kay Jones who supported this project in such a positive way.
