Having spent years sketching the architecture in Liverpool, Vicki Mansley held her first solo exhibition, "Drawn to the City", in what she considers to be the most iconic of all locations, The Royal Liver Building.
The event took place between the 28th of Oct and the 3rd of Nov ans was a huge success with most of the original works selling across the week.
Vicki also produced a new painting during her exhibition that remain will in the main ground floor area on public display.
Vicki studied art to degree level specialising in illustration. However, Vicki knew how hard it was to find a stable job in the arts and after university she took a stopgap in hospitality that afforded her some financial stability. That break lasted over a decade. It wasn't until the pandemic of 2020, when hospitality shut down, Vicki went back to her first love of sketching. Since then she's never looked back and since 2023 she has been working with Laura to deliver this series of images for her first exhibition.

Since 1911 The Royal Liver Building has come to represent the city of Liverpool. Crowned by its pair of mythical Liver Birds who are said to guard the city.
Vicki has drawn this famous building countless times and was delighted to have her work displayed there. She is also thrilled to have a piece remain on show as a lasting legacy of the event.
The ground floor of the Royal Liver Building is free to visit, fully accessible, with a ramped entrance at the riverside doors. There is also a licensed cafe open all day serving refreshments..
